Known as 'La Pasionaria' (the Passionflower), Dolores Ibarruri was a prominent member of the Spanish Communist Party. She is perhaps most famous for coining the phrase 'No Pasarán!' (they will not pass) in her 'Danger! To Arms!' radio broadcast following the outbreak of the Spanish Civil War in July 1936.
