Huntington's disease is an inherited disease, caused by a defective, dominant gene. Huntington's disease occurs because of damaged nerve cells in the brain. The degeneration of nerve cells in the brain result in cognitive and psychiatric conditions and affects a person’s movement and coordination.The symptoms of disease start to develop in most people when they are in their 30’s and 40’s.
