The Nazis controlled many of the activities of the young in Germany. Schools had their curriculums changed to support Nazi ideals and the Hitler Youth and League of German Maidens controlled the activities that young people did outside of school. Resistance from young people was difficult with the presence of these groups.
Despite the difficulties, young people did oppose the Nazis. Some young people did not like the way in which all Nazi policies and ideas were for the benefit of the nation and not the individual. In reaction to this, some young people formed groups to counter the Hitler Youth and League of German Maidens.
