Poorer UK towns found to have the most betting shops

New Bristol University research reported here suggests that the poorest sectors of society in the UK are targeted with betting shops more highly concentrated in less affluent areas. Betting shops are 10 times more likely to be found in deprived towns than in affluent areas.
Problem gambling is an area of concern - does this justify government intervention?
