Consumers are increasingly interested in the sourcing of their products and under what conditions they are produced. Safe sourcing is the process by which the outsourcing of manufacturing and growing in other countries is guided by strong rules on the health and safety of employees, regulations against the use ion child labour and other protections for the labour force. Safe sourcing is linked to the rise in prominence of ethical capitalism.
