Seasonal Workers

Seasonal workers are individuals who are employed on a temporary basis to meet the increased demand for goods and services during certain times of the year.

Seasonal work is common in industries that experience fluctuations in demand due to changes in the weather or other external factors. Some examples of industries that commonly hire seasonal workers include:

  • Retail: Many retail stores hire additional staff during the holiday season to handle the increased demand for goods and services.
  • Hospitality: The hospitality industry, including hotels, restaurants, and tourism-related businesses, often hires additional staff during the summer and other peak vacation seasons.
  • Agriculture: The agriculture industry relies on seasonal workers to plant and harvest crops.

Seasonal work can be a good option for individuals who are looking for temporary employment, or who are unable to commit to a full-time job. However, it can also be challenging, as seasonal workers may not have the same job security or benefits as permanent employees, and may have to find new employment once the busy season is over.
