Stress testing
Stress tests are used to measure the extent to which financial institutions such as commercial banks are vulnerable to the effects of extreme economic events such as the Global Financial Crisis and the coronavirus crisis. They are designed to lower systemic risk. Some economists believe that they should be widened to include non-financial institutions.
