Here's an engaging activity to test understanding of macroeconomic policies and how they impact on economic performance indicators.
The activity (which should last about 30 minutes) asks students to create a super hero with their own powers (in this case, each power is one of the macroeconomic policies listed). They must use these powers each time their city is attacked by one of the super villains (who represent economic 'bads' such as inflation, unemployment and poor economic growth). The winning student (or team) is the one who uses their powers most effectively.
The download includes the Powerpoint file needed to run the activity and make in-game calculations and an instruction sheet for both teachers and students.
