Tidal Power

Tidal power is a form of renewable energy that harnesses the power of ocean tides to generate electricity. It works by building a tidal power station in an area with strong tidal currents, such as near a coastal inlet or in a tidal estuary. The station typically consists of a barrage or dam that is built across the waterway, with turbines or generators installed in the dam. As the tides rise and fall, the water flows through the turbines, which generates electricity. Tidal power is a reliable source of energy because it is driven by the predictable movement of the tides. However, it can be expensive to build tidal power stations and they may have an impact on local ecosystems.
