- Board:

Last updated 8 Aug 2022
This activity can be used as a full revision lesson on the different criminological theories in Unit 2 and their application to types of crime and implications for policy development.
It encourages students to apply their knowledge of criminological theories to specific situations where criminal activity has occurred and asks them to identify reasons for that criminal activity.
Furthermore, it allows students to practise their ability to describe the different criminological theories and be able to evaluate the strengths and weaknesses of each theoretical approach.
Finally, students are tasked with making the links between theory and practice, by using their chosen theories to develop policies that will tackle crime.
